Job summary

MP Materials is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 to keep facility equipment operating across departments. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime and maintain safety.

This role requires reading manuals and schematics, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel between job sites. The candidate should have at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience and a commitment to compliance and continuous

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and plumbing to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to reduce equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other maintenance staff to prioritize work orders and respond to emergency repair requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance tasks.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce costs.
