Job summary

Mp Materials Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 to ensure reliable operation of facility equipment across departments.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and help minimize downtime while maintaining safety standards. The role requires a minimum of 2 years in industrial or commercial maintenance, a high school diploma, and the ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
• Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or related field.
• Experience with CMMS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in automated systems and controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, electrical panels, and plumbing to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to reduce equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other maintenance staff to prioritize work orders and respond to emergency repair requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance tasks.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce costs.
