The Maintenance Technician 2 is a critical member of our team who can solve a problem for our residents to keep them happy and satisfied by ensuring requests and repairs are made in a reliable, timely and safe manner. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for identifying and resolving problems, completing service requests, and making repairs in accordance with operating and safety standards.

The Maintenance Technician 2 will take pride in serving others and delivering a caring and professional experience for our residents, our client-owners and our fellow team members.

Starting pay $23 per hour (or more based on experience)!

  • Maintenance Incentive Plan - a potential to earn up to another $2.43 per hour

Job Duties Include:

  • Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties, including heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs. Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving our residents' homes.
  • Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours, coordinating the work of other staff or vendors as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to manager or maintenance team members as appropriate.
  • Complete and document daily building inspections with a focus on proactive maintenance.
  • Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, including removing debris and weeds, and reporting maintenance needs.

Experience and Education:

  • A High School degree, GED or equivalent.
  • One to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Business needs and/or state, local and federal laws may dictate required certifications and licensure for a region or specific location.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle insurance and clean driving record for past 3 years.
  • Proficiency in the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.

  • Has previous maintenance experience, handyman skills, and knowledge in maintenance repairs.
