The Maintenance Technician 2 is a vital team member responsible for solving resident issues to ensure satisfaction through timely, reliable, and safe repairs. They identify and resolve problems, complete service requests, and perform repairs following safety standards.

Starting pay $21 per hour (may be higher based on experience), with potential to earn up to an additional $2.43 per hour through the Maintenance Incentive Plan.

Job Duties Include:
  • Complete assigned service requests related to repairs and maintenance, including heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and general repairs. Recommending replacements or repairs as needed, ensuring work is professional and clean.
  • Prepare apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours, coordinating with other staff or vendors as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Build and maintain long-term resident relationships by addressing requests, questions, and concerns, and referring issues to managers or team members when appropriate.
  • Conduct and document daily building inspections focusing on proactive maintenance.
  • Maintain the attractive appearance of buildings and grounds, including debris removal and reporting maintenance needs.
Experience and Education:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Certifications and licensure may be required by law or location.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, insurance, and a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and verbal communication.
  • Strong maintenance skills and attention to detail.
