Job summary

Tate Americas is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift at Paragould, AR. The role focuses on installing and maintaining facility equipment to sustain production with minimal supervision.

You will diagnose, repair, and install mechanical systems; follow PM schedules, read work orders, and mentor other maintenance staff in a fast-paced plant environment. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Certification or equivalent experience in mechanical field.
  • 4 years’ prior maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/walk for an 8-hour shift.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/ANSI standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Check system functionality by running diagnostic tests.
  • Install new systems and replace defective parts using tools.
  • Repair devices/Lasers/Robotic fixtures/ paint equipment and general facility.
  • Install complex mechanical systems.
  • Read and follow maintenance work orders.
  • Perform preventative maintenance per PM programs.
  • Mentor and train maintenance staff.
  • Adhere to safety policies and maintain housekeeping.

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician installs and maintains facility equipment and machinery in order to maintain the required production levels under minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do
  • Checking system functionality by running diagnostic tests
  • Using power and hand tools (e.g. hosts and cranes) to install new systems and replace defective parts.
  • Repairing devices/Lasers/Robotic fixtures/ Paint Equipment/Assemble models/air compressors/ general facility.
  • Installing complex mechanical systems
  • Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment
  • Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
  • Follows all Company safety rules and regulations including LOTO and wears all required PPE.
  • Reads and understands maintenance work orders.
  • Accurately performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery as required per established PM programs and completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Mentors and/or trains existing and/or new maintenance employees.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or directed by Team Leader / Supervisor.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
  • Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.
Additional Expectations
  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification or equivalent experience in mechanical field.
  • 4 years’ prior maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment, or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Ability to accurately use, read, and understand various precision instruments including, but not limited to: Gauges, Meters, Basic Measurements
  • Knowledge of current OSHA, and ANSI standards.
  • Preferred knowledge of computers, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with accuracy and integrity.
  • Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
