Job summary

4over is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the 1st shift at the Arlington, TX plant. The role focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining printing plant machinery, electrical, mechanical, and building systems to ensure smooth production.

The position requires 1–3 years in related fields and a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience. Shift is Monday–Friday with 7:00 AM–3:00 PM availability, with compensation commensurate with experience.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to component level.
  • Experience with adjusting and maintaining plant machinery and service equipment.

Salary Range: $25.00 To $28.00 Hourly

Summary : The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining the plant production machinery, service equipment and physical building systems. Including but not limited to electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.

Schedule :1st shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five or more days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.

Salary Range: $25.00 To 28.00 Hourly

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist plant management in maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program
  • Safely troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems
  • Maintain hardware and software by responding to emergency service requests including diagnosing problems, ordering parts as needed, completing repairs or recommending solutions
  • Participate in installation and removal of equipment
  • Conduct routine checks and service equipment as required
  • Provide production with clear proactive information on service issues
  • Ensure completion of assignments by meeting quality/quantity specifications and requirements
  • Complete and process all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
  • Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist in cultivating an interdependent safety culture by reporting workplace hazards, related injuries, illnesses and or/near misses to management immediately
  • Attend all department/company meetings
  • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years related field experience diagnosing and troubleshooting basic electrical problems using diagrams or blueprints
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years related field experience maintaining electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to the component level
  • Working knowledge of materials and chemicals used in the printing industry
  • Basic math skills, ability to perform mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Knowledge of high and low voltage wiring, capability of identifying and qualifying single phase as well as three phase power requirements
  • Ability to operate gas and electrical forklifts
  • Effectively communicate orally and written with all members of the internal organization as well as external customers
  • Ability to work flexible, extended hours and weekends as required for business needs
  • Reading comprehension in relation to job
  • Detail-oriented and organized work ethics include efficient time management skills, with proven track record of completion of tasks/assignments
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
