Job Description
Top Level position with the primary purpose of maintaining the assets of the park, while conducting oneself professionally in relationships with fellow employees and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operation of equipment – Ability to operate backhoe, bobcat, skid steer, etc., in a safe and efficient manner.
- Install and repair underground utility lines, water, and sewer systems.
- Respond to and attend to guest repair requests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Properly store tools, equipment, or machines, including flammable materials.
- Carry equipment needed for the job, e.g., tools, radio.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
- Communicate activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards daily.
- Handle hand and power tools safely and perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Meet company, local, and code standards while performing complex repairs on physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including air conditioners, refrigeration, and pool heaters.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment such as pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical systems, lamps, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switches, outlets, and televisions.
- Use Lockout/Tagout systems before maintenance work.
- Utilize maintenance computers and devices related to preventative maintenance and energy management.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Train and mentor other maintenance technicians and perform engineer on duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
- Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Interact positively with the public, resolve guest problems and complaints properly, and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in at least three categories and possess basic skills in others:
- Operation of equipment – backhoe, bobcat, skid steer, etc. (Required)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
