Job summary

SHM LLC is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our residential property clean, safe, and in top condition. You’ll handle routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and unit turnovers to ensure a high standard of living for residents.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of maintenance experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort working in varied conditions. Proficiency with basic office software is a plus, and RealPage experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various conditions (heights, tight spaces, weather).
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); RealPage experience a plus.
• Trade school or industry certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs, preventative maintenance, and unit turnovers.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies, including on-call support.
• Maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Keep grounds clean, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Ensure property is safe and meets code requirements.
• Use and maintain tools and equipment properly and safely.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents.
• Clean and maintain common areas.
• Order maintenance supplies as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and attend required training.
• Other operational tasks
