Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years mechanical/electrical maintenance in manufacturing, or 5 years equivalent experience.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams.
• Experience in two of: electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, plumbing, or food‑manufacturing controls.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and handle urgent issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related problems.
• Assist with major equipment overhauls, system rebuilds, and installations.
• Coordinate repairs with production and outside contractors to minimize downtime.
• Safely operate forklifts and diagnostic equipment; document work in CMMS.
• Communicate repair status and follow-up needs to maintenance and production teams.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance areas; follow GMP and safety procedures.

Industrial Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift

EAS Direct Hire is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a high-volume manufacturing facility. This hands‑on position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to maximize uptime and support safe, reliable operations.

Shift and Compensation

Shift: 3rd Shift
Hours: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
Weekend availability: Required
Hourly pay: $36.00–$37.25, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related problems.
• Complete or assist with major equipment overhauls, system rebuilds, and equipment installations.
• Work closely with production personnel and outside contractors to coordinate repairs and minimize operational disruptions.
• Safely operate forklifts, lifts, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other maintenance machinery.
• Accurately document completed work, equipment conditions, and maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and follow-up needs electronically with maintenance and production team members.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance work areas.
• Follow all GMP requirements, safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience involving industrial or manufacturing machinery, or five years of equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, equipment manuals, and machine layout drawings.
• Experience in at least two of the following areas:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Refrigeration
  • Plumbing
  • Food‑manufacturing process controls
• Knowledge of industrial equipment setup, functionality, operating procedures, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, plan work effectively, and respond to urgent equipment issues.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to work the third-shift schedule and weekends as required.
