Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Maintenance Tech for our client in Chesterfield, Michigan. The role pays $34–$40 per hour based on experience and offers full-time hours on 1st and 2nd shifts.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery using manual and power tools, read electrical and hydraulic schematics, troubleshoot issues with testing equipment, and maintain maintenance histories and work orders. A HI/LO license must be obtained within probation.

Qualifications

• Approximately three to five years of job related experience is necessary to learn maintenance procedures and equipment operations.
• Analytical skills necessary to evaluate machine/equipment functions.
• Obtain a HIlo license within the probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles machinery using manual and power tools.
• Troubleshoots problems from reading electrical and hydraulic schematics; uses electrical testing equipment.
• Maintains departmental files of work orders, maintenance requisitions, preventative maintenance histories, and other related records.
• Performs a variety of building, machinery, and equipment repairs, installation, or modification requiring hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical skills.

What will you be doing?

• Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles machinery and equipment utilizing manual and power tools, and general tool room equipment such as: lathes, mills, grinder, etc. In doing so climbs, kneels, stands, sits, or crouches while handling items of various sizes, shapes, and weights


• Troubleshoots problems from reading electrical and hydraulic schematics; uses electrical testing equipment.


• Maintains departmental files of work orders, maintenance requisitions, preventative maintenance histories, and other related records.


• Performs a variety of building, machinery, and equipment repairs, installation, or modification requiring hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical skills.
