Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our on-site team in Ohio. The role offers up to 32 hours per week (8a-4p) and starts at $18.00 per hour, with increases based on experience.

You will perform general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and safety tasks, maintain fire and safety records, assist with resident moves, and support daily operations in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and be insurable.
• HVAC and electrical experience required; maintenance experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents, families, visitors and partners.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
• Assist with moving residents' furnishings as needed.
• Paint residents' living quarters as needed.
• Support ongoing preventative maintenance and equipment care to minimize failures.
• Maintain fire safety planning and testing records and related logs.
• Assist with transportation tasks as needed.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Overview

This Maintenance Tech position offers up to 32 hours per week now (8a-4p) and will reduce over time.

Salary

The position starts at $18.00/hr and increases with experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners.
• Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Assists with moving of residents' furnishings as needed.
• Paints residents' living quarters as needed.
• Assists with the on-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning, repairing and operating equipment, which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
• Assists with maintaining documentation of fire safety evacuation plan, fire drills, disaster plan, smoking policy, fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports, generator testing logs, water temperatures, flame spread ratings of interior finishes, and other maintenance records.
• Assists with transportation tasks as needed.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and be insurable
• Experience: HVAC and electrical required, maintenance experience in a maintenance department and prior experience in a health care facility preferred
