Job summary

WSI is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Michigan to inspect, repair, modify, paint, and maintain plant facilities and equipment in a GMP-compliant environment. You will support production lines, assist with preventive maintenance, and help train staff on equipment operation.

Ideal candidates bring strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills and prior manufacturing experience. The role emphasizes safety, process improvements, and adherence to food safety standards on the production

Qualifications

• Mechanical troubleshooting and electrical diagnosis skills are required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with GMPs and food safety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment including refrigeration, production, and building systems.
• Assist in training employees on proper operation of equipment.
• Support production, packaging, and warehouse operations; maintain PM program with documentation.
• Identify improvements to daily operations and reduce downtime.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, painting, cleaning, and maintaining all areas of the facility and grounds while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety requirements. This role ensures the production of safe, high-quality products and maintains a clean and safe environment for plant operations. The technician also assists with production equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance, parts ordering, and troubleshooting as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipment, including refrigeration, production, and building equipment.
• Assist in training employees on the proper operation of equipment.
• Provide continual support to production, assembly, packaging, and warehouse.
• Maintain a PM program with supporting documentation
• Familiar with Continuous Improvement and continually trying to improve operations and eliminate downtime. Capable of developing/implementing improvements to daily operations.
• On floor time = 100 % (floor is inclusive of production floor, shop, outside of building, etc.)
• Must always work in a safe manner and use GMPs.
• Other duties as assigned.
