Southern HealthCare Management in Florida seeks a Maintenance Assistant to sustain and improve facility equipment, perform inspections, and support smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Experience with facilities maintenance and repair; incl. drywall, plumbing, electrical, painting, hand tools.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems.
• Proficient in English, written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, drawings, schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Leadership skills to supervise contractors.
• Own a personal vehicle for emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Assist in installation of new equipment or systems.
• Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects.
