Job summary

Hazlehurst Wood Pellets Llc is seeking a Day Shift Maintenance technician to perform preventive and predictive maintenance across defined plant areas. You will lead and assist the shift crew, lubricate and repair pellet mill equipment, and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

On-call duties and occasional overtime are required to keep production moving. The role requires climbing ladders up to 65 feet, effective communication across all levels, and maintaining equipment documentation.

• Must complete maintenance work orders for all tasks performed.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 65 feet and work with hand and power tools.
• Must communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance across multiple plant areas.
• Lead and assist Shift Maintenance personnel when called in.
• Lubricate, repair, and troubleshoot pellet mill equipment and conveyors.
• Identify tool and equipment needs to improve productivity and sequence work.
• Maintain good housekeeping and document equipment damage as required.

Job DutiesEach Day Shift Maintenance will be assigned an area of responsibility for Preventive and Predictive Maintenance. These areas will change periodically to make sure each is familiar with different areas of the plant.Must be on call periodically. Must be able to lead and assist the Shift Maintenance Employee when called in.Must fill in for Shift Maintenance when needed.Lubricate Equipment.Repair Equipment.Must be able to troubleshoot process and mechanical problems.Must identify needs for tools and equipment needed to make each task more productive.Must provide your own tools, company will supply specialty toolsMust perform other duties as required by the shift leaderMust be familiar with the following:Pellet Mill Set Up and Maintenance. (On-Site Training may be required)- (Roll Replacement, Adjustment Die Replacement, and Adjustment and other).Mechanical Drive Replacement and/or Repair (Belt Drives Chain, Drives Gear Box, Drives Spur, Gear Drives, and other).Material Handling Equipment Repair.
