Job summary

PPG is hiring a Maintenance Technician (electro mechanical) in Grand Haven, MI. Starting pay is $28 per hour DOE with shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role requires 2+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing and the ability to read blueprints.

You will troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with new installations. Power tools are provided; you must supply your own hand tools. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

2nd: M-F 2P-10:30P

3rd: Sun-Friday 10P-6:30A

Overtime as needed

As a Maintenance Technician , you will be a critical part of the production team, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are performing at top notch! Your work will directly affect people’s lives!

Under direct supervision, perform maintenance and repair services of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical and building systems. Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of methods, practices and techniques of maintaining building and facilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and repair all manufacturing equipment
• Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment
• Order spare parts, and maintain spare parts inventory
• Assist in installation of new equipment
• Willingness to perform a wide variety of duties, including facility maintenance
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as needed

The successful candidate will have 2 or more years’ previous experience as an electro mechanical technician in a manufacturing environment. Experience must include troubleshooting and repair of automated manufacturing machinery.

Power tools are provided. You must have your own hand tools: wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. to successfully complete your work.
