Job summary

AtOnyx Wellness Center is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform a variety of standard maintenance tasks across facility grounds and buildings. The role requires basic wiring, plumbing and carpentry knowledge and emphasizes safety, organization, and timely task completion.

The position offers full/part-time options with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401K, paid time off, holiday pay, and the possibility of overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with and follows directions from the Maintenance Director.
• Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Maintains and repairs basic functions of the facility as determined by the Maintenance Director.
• Takes care of the tools and equipment.
• Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Remains on call, when assigned, for 24 hours a day.
• Assumes supervisor’s responsibilities in his/her absence.
• Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
• Performs other duties as requested.
