Job summary

The Car Park is seeking a self-motivated maintenance technician to manage routine maintenance and repairs across downtown parking facilities in Boise. You will work with a maintenance crew handling cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and general facility maintenance, taking ownership of your area.

Responsibilities include sweeping, pressure washing, operating maintenance equipment, basic repairs, logging maintenance, and winter snow/ice removal; candidates need 1+ year of manual labor and a valid

Qualifications

• 1+ year manual labor, maintenance, janitorial, or grounds work.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to stand/walk long hours, lift 50+ lbs, work in all weather
• Reliable and show up on time

Responsibilities

• Sweep, pressure wash, and clean parking decks and surfaces (year-round).
• Operate maintenance equipment: sweepers, pressure washers, gas blowers.
• Empty trash, remove debris, basic cleanup.
• Paint lines, poles, signage as directed.
• Winter: snow/ice removal.
• Inspect gates, barriers, and access equipment; report issues.
• Basic repairs: replace damaged hardware, light bulbs, fixtures.
• Help with barrier and gate arm repairs.
• Keep maintenance logs.

WHO WE NEED

You're a self-motivated maintenance technician who can manage routine maintenance and repairs across our downtown parking facilities. Daily Maintenance:

• Paint lines, poles, signage as directed
• Winter: snow/ice removal

Equipment & Repairs:

• Inspect gates, barriers, and access equipment; report issues
• Basic repairs: replace damaged hardware, light bulbs, fixtures
• Help with barrier and gate arm repairs
• Keep maintenance logs

WHO YOU ARE

Required:

• 1+ year manual labor, maintenance, janitorial, or grounds work
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to stand/walk long hours, lift 50+ lbs, work in all weather
• Reliable and show up on time

Preferred:

• Any garage, parking, or facilities maintenance experience
• Comfort operating power tools and equipment
• Local knowledge of downtown Boise
