Job summary

Wastequip Manufacturing Company LLC is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support our Albany, OR manufacturing operation. Responsibilities include maintaining machinery, troubleshooting equipment, and coordinating repairs. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and proficiency in welding.

Job description

Wastequip Steel Division has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to support our Albany, OR manufacturing operation. The Maintenance Technician will have responsibility for the overall maintenance of the manufacturing equipment and the overall plant. The hourly rate is $25.34 - $30.00, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including welding machines, metal fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Control equipment downtime by conducting PM inspections and repairs outside of peak production hours.
• Coordinate repairs with outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
• Provide facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Complete PM inspections of equipment, the facility, and safety as indicated.
• Track repairs, including cause, downtime and repair time.

Qualifications

• Completion of a technical/vocational industrial maintenance program or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical and hydraulic diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, metal working tools and welding equipment.
• Welding experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Experience with PM programs.
• Working knowledge of regulations such as OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI and state/local codes.
