Performs preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on injection molding machines, automated and manned paint booths, robots, extruder systems, diecasting assembly machines, and all associated support equipment. Conducts and documents water and air quality tests, uses precision test and measuring equipment. Handles and stores chemicals and industrial lubricants.

Is knowledgeable in all aspects of basic hand tools, proper use, and accurately takes and records measurements. Familiar with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and construction drawing symbols, metals, fasteners, and lubricants. Capable of manufacturing simple to moderate projects with various machine tools. Knowledgeable in maintenance administration including downtime reporting, trend analysis, preventive maintenance, parts management, and data software. Able to train personnel in tool and resource use.
Possesses knowledge of safety manuals such as the NEC code book and OSHA standards, and can train others accordingly. Skilled in inspecting, removing, installing, aligning, and lubricating mechanical components. Able to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, and machine systems, with proficiency in relevant codes, schematics, and programming languages. Capable of training personnel in these areas.
Has EPA certification for refrigerant handling and knowledge of HVAC, water treatment, and related systems. Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing injection, diecasting, polyurethane molding, and other machinery, including robots and auxiliary systems. Familiar with PLC programs, data collection, and power supply systems. Able to train others in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor fabrication.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Must have the ability to read technical and business documents, write reports, and present information effectively. Mathematical skills should include probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry. Logical and scientific thinking skills are necessary.
EPA certification required for refrigerant handling.
Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and occasionally sit, climb, or balance. Must lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and over 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
Exposed to moving parts, electrical shock risks, and occasionally to wet conditions, heights, fumes, chemicals, weather, heat, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
