Job summary

Harmony Recovery is seeking a Maintenance Team Member responsible for maintaining and improving the entire property to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Four 10 hours Shifts

Primary Function: Maintain, improve, and repair entire property by contributing to creating a safe environment for clients and staff. Perform a variety of duties related to the general maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Hiring Range: $21 - $23

Primary Function: Maintain, improve, and repair entire property by contributing to creating a safe environment for clients and staff. Perform a variety of duties related to the general maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Essential Functions

  • Inspect buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe, well-maintained conditions, identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs; replace light bulbs, ballasts, switches, outlets, lighting fixtures and fuses.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC system, changing filters.
  • Complete maintenance work orders as assigned and in a timely manner
  • Identify and perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures, open clogged lines and drains.
  • Identify and assist with carpentry, painting, landscaping, and repair work
  • Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, router, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses and various hand tools.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; recommend tools, supplies, and equipment for purchase.
  • Perform a variety of locksmith duties; install, repair, and replace locks on doors
  • Inspect, service, and maintain operational functionality of doors and windows.
  • Basic ability to interpret oral instruction on a variety of structures related to the construction project.
  • Assist with snow removal
  • Perform periodic maintenance of lawn equipment and vehicles.
  • Assist with moving loading, unloading and storing supplies, furniture and equipment.
  • Wear proper protective equipment while performing job duties (i.e., goggles, helmet, back brace, knee pads)
  • As needed, provide back up support to Security staff completing security related job duties outlined in the Security/Maintenance Team member job description
  • Adhere to confidentiality laws including 42CFR Part 2, HIPAA and HITECH as well as all Harmony policies and procedures.

  • Ability to safely operate equipment: automobiles, all lawn equipment, all snow removal equipment, and all power tools.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform all general maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Ability to relate to colleagues with understanding in a realistically supportive manner.
  • Ability to relate with detachment and empathy to clients and their family members.
  • Personal maturity reflected by sound judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to adjust work schedule (days and hours) to meet project demands and work overtime as needed.
  • Exercise initiative in identifying and addressing any unsafe conditions on campus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
  • Authentic commitment to Harmony’s mission and vision, actively working to further organizational objectives.
