UniFirst’s Atlanta, GA location is now offering a $5,000 incentive bonus for new hires. To be eligible, the following guidelines must be met:

  • The new hire must complete 90 days of employment to receive the full bonus.
  • The new hire must adhere to UniFirst’s 90-Day Probationary Period, including meeting attendance and performance policies.
  • The new hire must not have been previously employed by UniFirst.

Our Team is Kind of a Big Deal! UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Supervisor to join our community. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure all facility equipment functions efficiently and identify areas for process and maintenance improvements, as well as ongoing training for staff. We operate on a standard Monday - Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime. We have an immediate opening and provide on-the-job training.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Perform basic welding repairs on facilities and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assets.
  • Follow documented schedules and specifications.
  • Manage boiler and wastewater system testing and chemical adjustments.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs outside standard hours.
  • Supervise all shifts in the maintenance department.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Maintain safety protocols, including Confined Space and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Monitor and facilitate technician training.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Assist in managing budgets for building and equipment maintenance.
  • Train maintenance staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Pass the maintenance knowledge assessment.
  • Knowledge in maintenance equipment, wiring, electrical, and mechanical components.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience; military experience considered.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, budgeting, and systems management.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Lockout/Tagout experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
