Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance activities on first shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with flexibility to support business needs. You will supervise hourly maintenance personnel and drive TPM, PM completion, and safety initiatives to minimize downtime and maximize safety.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years of supervisory experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with SAP a plus.
• Strong understanding of ISO standards (9001/14001) and OHSAS 18001.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma knowledge a plus.
• Strong equipment troubleshooting and fault analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and structure planned and unplanned repairs and preventive maintenance routines to keep equipment and plant systems running efficiently.
• Directly supervise hourly maintenance staff in maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, machinery and utilities.
• Communicate expectations, coach and develop employees, and administer disciplinary actions if needed.
• Provide input into planning and scheduling of projects; support TPM teams with equipment ledgers and problem solving.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions; ensure PMs and maintenance activities meet safety standards.
• Review timekeeping (Kronos) and ensure wages align with the bargaining agreement; assist in hiring hourly staff as needed.
• Conduct SMAT audits to support EHS goals and participate in incident investigations.
