Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. You will evaluate systems, determine needs, and plan work assignments to keep facilities running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities include supervising skilled workers, maintaining preventive maintenance programs, managing work orders and budget, and ensuring safety and compliance with PPE and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to plan maintenance schedules and manage work orders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting tasks.
• Establish preventive maintenance programs and track work orders.
• Estimate labor, materials and costs for work orders.
• Maintain maintenance logs, mileage logs, and OSHA records.
• Supervise and train maintenance staff and ensure safety.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption.
