Job summary

Perdue Farms in Petaluma, CA, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team, plan and execute maintenance, and keep production running efficiently while championing safe work practices.

This hands-on role will own preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and coordinate rebuilds or replacements to minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Troubleshooting ability and technical knowledge of production, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all plant equipment is in top operating condition and available for production as needed.
• Organize and plan regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant.
• Review preventive procedures and evaluate and maximize maintenance processes by collaborating with operations departments to identify problems and requirements.
• Supervise maintenance associates and ensure compliance with company safety regulations, minimizing personal injury risks, environmental impact, and asset damage.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal codes and regulations.
• Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline staff.
• Evaluate the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment. Improve system performance by studying results and identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
