Job summary

The Phoenix Center for Rehab & Nursing in Phoenixville, PA, seeks a full-time Maintenance Assistant to manage and perform maintenance across the facility. You will supervise staff, develop policies, and coordinate with dietary, nursing, and activities teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of maintenance experience, hands-on skills in carpentry, painting, electrical and plumbing, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Fire and Life Safety.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department.
• Monitors the performance of maintenance staff by observing staff on all units, on all shifts, and interviewing facility staff, residents, and families. Performs quality assurance functions, including regular compliance rounds.
• Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the facility policies
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist the maintenance staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Review the department's policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
