Job summary

Shintech Louisiana seeks a Maintenance Supervisor who will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and oversee safety, routine and major maintenance within their area. You will supervise planners and technicians and partner with Area Operations to maintain customer satisfaction and optimize spending and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in the mechanical field.
• Five to seven years' mechanical experience in a chemical plant.
• Some supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance efforts and hourly workforce within their area.
• Ensures activities follow Shintech policies and addresses mechanical issues.
• Plans, schedules, and executes routine and major maintenance with planners, technicians, and operations.
• Improves work efficiency by coordinating with warehouse for materials deliveries and stock.
• Maintains maintenance workflow compliance to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Develops next day's work list and communicates to Operations and Maintenance staff.
• Oversees budgeting and spending, tracks progress, and documents lessons learned.
• Manages backlog and develops repair timelines for critical equipment.
• Mentors and coaches planners and technicians, ensuring timely execution of tasks.
• Coordinates with Operations, Engineering, Safety and other departments; acts as Maintenance Superintendent in absence.
