What will be your daily pursuit?
Maintaining the upkeep of all facilities including pools, restaurants, guest rooms, and meeting rooms. This position requires relocation to Jasper, Alberta (Miette Mountain Cabins).

What will your compensation be?
The starting wage for this role is $25.00 / hr.

What will you do in this job?

  • Supervise the maintenance activities of the property
  • Assist with the upkeep of all Pursuit company vehicles
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Hotel Manager
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of all staff housing units
  • Assist with the coordination of all renovations on the property
  • Communicate, and perform preventative maintenance of the property
  • Train and mentor maintenance workers in all aspects of property maintenance and effective communication
  • Complete responsibility of all onsite maintenance workers and activities – highlights would include Health and Safety of the team, Pool & Hot tub maintenance and best practices, septic field management, implementing and maintaining processes and procedures of all onsite equipment
  • Prepare schedules for Maintenance Workers and ensure all shifts are covered
  • Frequent interaction with coworkers, management, and guests
  • Assist with payroll control as it pertains to the Maintenance Department
  • Landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaning
  • Ensure, train, and participate in safe work practices as well as fire procedures
  • Ensure use of Limble (mtn mgmt system) is used effectively by all team members

What skills and experience do you need for this job?
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a related maintenance field (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, and painting)
  • Must possess excellent mechanical ability and knowledge
  • Must be able to train staff and give direction
  • Must be able to perform administrative functions, and a basic knowledge of computers
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of tools and their uses (tools provided)
  • Ability to manage large workloads and demands, and effectively multitask
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, such as day (ex. 7am-3pm) or night (ex. 3pm-11pm)
  • Valid driver's license (Class 4 Alberta driver's license is an asset)
