WinnCompanies is searching for a motivated Maintenance Supervisor I to join our military housing team located in Fort McCoy, WI.
In this role, you will assist in coordinating subcontracted activities and provide training and coaching to maintenance staff. The ideal candidate will also perform maintenance functions such as completing service requests and Change of Occupancy Maintenance (COM) activities across the community, including rental units, office buildings, residential areas, grounds, and parking lots.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a rotating on-call schedule.
Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls, complete COM work, and other property maintenance requirements.
- Resolve maintenance issues with residents regarding the condition of their homes.
- Escalate issues to the supervisor as needed.
- Handle sensitive issues requiring high customer service skills.
- Maintain close communication with technicians, subcontractors, and residential service coordinators to meet service and COM requirements.
- Adjust technician schedules to ensure timely completion of work requests.
- Support the development and training of technicians.
- Assist with technician training, inventory management, vacation planning, and meetings.
- May perform duties of Maintenance Technicians, Service Order Coordinators, or Field Supervisors in their absence.
- Conduct Quality Control checks on service requests and subcontracted work to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Coordinate investigations of resident complaints and schedule specialized work outside normal appointments.
- Estimate scope, time, and costs for COM tasks and coordinate contractor work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Less than 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, appliance repair/install, and HVAC.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Availability for on-call work outside regular hours.
- Ability to work with diverse groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training.
- Certifications in carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or appliances.
