Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor / Head of Maintenance
Location: Wisconsin (Statewide travel to up to 20 properties required). The ideal candidate will be based in or near Hudson, Menomonie, or Knapp, WI. Primary job sites are located in Hudson, Hammond, River Falls, and Chippewa Falls, WI. Occasional travel may be required to La Crosse, Eau Claire, and other locations throughout Wisconsin. Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience + benefits. $75,000-$80,000/year. Company vehicle and gas card OR mileage reimbursement and tools provided by the company.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations across a portfolio of bars and restaurants and residential real estate properties (up to 20 properties). The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a background in restaurant equipment, plumbing, refrigeration, cooling systems, carpentry, and general knowledge of HVAC. This role is responsible for ensuring that all facilities are safe, functional, and operating at peak efficiency through both reactive and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues across multiple trades (HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
Perform and supervise preventative maintenance programs across all properties.
Manage emergency repairs with minimal disruption to business operations.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repair work when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
Oversee and maintain restaurant equipment such as fryers, coolers, ice machines, and beverage systems.
Oversee and perform expansion and renovation projects for the properties.
Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies.
Ensure all properties remain in compliance with safety, health, and regulatory codes.
Travel to property sites as needed (mileage reimbursement or company vehicle will be available).
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of hands-on maintenance experience; multi-site or regional experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across trades.
Experience working in or supporting restaurant, bar, or hospitality environments is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of refrigeration and cooling systems, including walk-ins and underbar units.
Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
Must be hands-on and have 7-8 years general construction/carpentry experience.
Comfortable with travel to multiple sites and responding to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Relevant trade certifications (EPA 608, HVAC, refrigeration) are a plus but not required.
