GENERAL PURPOSE:

Supervise all functions related to facilities maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs to buildings, property, and material handling equipment. Manage maintenance G&A expenses and oversee costs related to landscaping, pest control, snow removal, janitorial, waste management, fire systems, and certification. Review and recommend improvements for material handling equipment and construction projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and facility systems, ensuring timely preventive maintenance and response to critical issues.
  • Train and develop maintenance personnel, ensuring skill requirements are met.
  • Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for construction and maintenance projects, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Ensure contractual compliance across service accounts.
  • Partner with the safety committee to address safety issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • 8-10 years of maintenance experience in large distribution or manufacturing environments.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in similar settings.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to review schematic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and 5-S practices preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Work in a warehouse environment, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, talking, handling objects, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Full-time in-office presence required for team interaction and collaboration. Vision requirements include reading print and electronic information.
