Job summary

Collins Bus in Hutchinson, KS seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to assist the Maintenance Manager in leading facility maintenance personnel and tasks. You will oversee maintenance staff and facilities, coordinate with vendors, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on site.

The role requires reading engineering drawings and blueprints, understanding electrical and pneumatic tools, and maintaining OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance. Strong scheduling and computer skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to read English and Metric tape measures and use measuring devices.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• Understand fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools. Must be familiar with the operation of various tools- i.e. drill, screw gun, sander, jig saw, etc.
• Must have working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Must receive initial and annual RCRA and HAZWOPER training to maintain EHS back up status.
• Must have sufficient computer literacy and ability to work in a variety of software environments such as PM maintenance scheduling programs, and other similar systems.

Responsibilities

Physical Demands:

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.
• Ability to complete overhead work, including from ladders or scaffolding.
• Ability to safely usehand, air, power tools, and machinery.
• May be required to handle and dispose of hazardous waste.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• The employee may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment can beloud and PPE including hearing protection is required.

Experience:

• Five (5) years ofmaintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent training required through a professional degree program.
