Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Michigan is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead an hourly team on 1st–3rd shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production. You will drive continuous improvement, apply data-driven decisions, and develop talent through servant leadership.

You will foster a culture of accountability, manage resources across rotating day/night/weekend shifts, and partner with suppliers and other teams to meet performance goals and uphold rigorous standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3–7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls

What you'll do...

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you are the vital link between strategic goals and daily execution. You'll be leading a dedicated hourly team, fostering an environment where they can do their best work and feel empowered.

Safety First: Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance

Driving Operational Excellence: Lead and direct a team of employees that consistently makes high-quality products and meets or exceeds production targets. You will take ownership of team performance, addressing shortcomings proactively and celebrating successes.

Strategic Focus & Problem Solving: Prioritize critical tasks and effectively allocate human resources to maximize efficiency.

You will apply for a "Bias for Action," promptly and decisively addressing safety and quality issues to prevent larger problems. This includes identifying and analyzing problems, developing and implementing effective solutions, making timely and well-informed decisions, and adapting to changing circumstances.

Team Leadership & Development: Embrace a servant leadership style, focusing on building high performing, winning teams and investing in their growth. You will foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating your team to achieve shared goals.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and insights to strike down downtime and quality defects, driving quantifiable improvements in efficiency and quality. You will be uncompromisingly committed to quality, implementing and maintaining rigorous standards, and relentlessly pursuing excellence to eliminate defects and ensure exceptional product quality.

Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, encompassing day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
