Maintenance Supervisor 3rd Shift - Battery Systems Assembly (Ellabell)

Summary

The Battery Systems Assembly Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance technicians and provides first-line support for all production and assembly machinery.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, and parts management. This includes logging work, parts used, procedures, and abnormalities, as well as observing working practices, conducting root cause analysis, FMEA, and collaborating with engineers and managers to diagnose and resolve issues involving machines, robots, PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, bearings, gears, pneumatics, hydraulics, and HMI systems.

Basic Qualifications

The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this position:

Education and Experience

• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor
• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical degree from an accredited technical institute
• Experience in the automotive industry and manufacturing
• Knowledge of production robotics and conveyor systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Knowledge of servo and stepper motors, control systems, PLCs, and HMI systems
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices, SAP, and CMMS systems
• Welding skills (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW)
• Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures
• Experience with automated production lines and lean work practices

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration

• Mechatronics and electrical background
• Knowledge of lithium-based battery systems

Working Conditions

• 60% on the production floor, 40% in office
• Extensive walking, standing, bending, stooping, and climbing
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Team-based environment with PPE requirements
