Job summary

Sharon Tube Company in Rochelle, IL, is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team and ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of plant equipment.

You will administer preventive maintenance, troubleshoot machinery, and lead a team of skilled maintenance technicians to support safe and efficient plant operations with a strong emphasis on OSHA compliance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably steel manufacturing.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; welding a plus.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and industrial safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery, including mills and material handling equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance across the plant.

Reporting to the Department Manager, this hands-on role is responsible for coordinating preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting machinery issues, and leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians to support safe and efficient plant operations.
