Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift - Pembroke Pines, FL

Join Waste Pro USA as a Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift - Pembroke Pines, FL.

Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees a team of maintenance shop employees, ensuring the safety and productivity of Waste Pro vehicles, equipment, and containers. This role may serve as manager-on-duty in the absence of other managerial staff and encompasses a broad range of management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on Waste Pro equipment to maximize safety and productivity. Review and complete repairs identified on DVIR and repair orders. Road test vehicles to diagnose issues and verify repairs.
  2. Supervise employees responsible for repairing, installing, and maintaining Waste Pro machinery and heavy-duty equipment, including Rear Load, Front Load, Roll Off, Grapple, Portable Restrooms, and Containers.
  3. Prepare and review repair orders to ensure proper charging of labor, materials, and parts. Maintain logs of repairs on each vehicle.
  4. Participate in hiring, coaching, counseling, evaluating performance, training, monitoring attendance, disciplinary actions, and applying Positive Leadership principles. Train employees on proper work methods and safety regulations.
  5. Develop and maintain constructive relationships with managers, drivers, helpers, mechanics, and administrative staff.
  6. Identify equipment and parts needs and procure necessary parts within budget. Refer major purchases or repairs to Maintenance Manager.
  7. Participate in safety processes, review DVIRs, set repair priorities, assign and review work, and verify quality and safety compliance.
