Maintenance Supervisor 2nd Shift (Finance)

We can't do what we do best - make great-tasting sausage products - unless our equipment is reliably running at its best. Members of our maintenance team keep our machines, lines, and facilities running. You and your teammates will be responsible for all production and industrial refrigeration equipment, as well as our electrical controls systems. You'll also work closely with our engineers and production members to make important upgrades to our production machinery as we innovate and grow the business.

Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Watertown, WI

Pay Range: $36.58 - $44.38 per hour, plus shift premium

Hours: 2:00pm - 10:30pm, with expected overtime including weekends

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Team Leader will lead the 2nd shift Maintenance Team at Johnsonville, focusing on implementing maintenance excellence, preventative strategies, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain Personal Development Commitments for team members
  2. Lead and coach the maintenance team through training and development
  3. Identify skill gaps and facilitate team development
  4. Prioritize work and guide the team to ensure task completion
  5. Manage scheduled and preventative maintenance activities
  6. Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements
  7. Coordinate problem resolution through team collaboration
  8. Maintain equipment reliability and conduct root cause analyses
  9. Ensure effective communication across shifts and teams
  10. Build relationships with internal customers and promote team cohesion
  11. Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement
  12. Maintain and improve equipment uptime
  13. Prioritize, assign, and complete scheduled work efficiently
  14. Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Decision-making and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP preferred
Physical Demands:
  • Lift, carry, and grip up to 65 lbs; pull up to 20 lbs
  • Walking and standing throughout shift
  • Bending and reaching during shift
Other Requirements:
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Travel up to 10%
