Job summary

FUCHS Lubricants Co. in Harvey, IL, is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, keep equipment operating, and meet production quality targets.

You will coordinate with Operations and other departments to achieve daily targets and KPIs, manage Work Management and Materials Management, and drive continuous improvement. The role offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with mechanical process equipment, PLC, electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Experience reading drawings and schematics.

• Able to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate team members.
• Experience with CMMS system.

Responsibilities

• Keep the plant and equipment operating to meet planned production capacity and required product quality.
• Ensure maintenance activities are safely and appropriately carried out.
• Coordinate with operations and other departments to achieve daily targets and KPIs.
• Oversee Work Management (Manager-Plus) and Materials Management processes (stores, cycle count, organization).
• Monitor progress against the plan and update work orders as needed.
• Provide leadership by guiding the maintenance team to do the right work correctly.
• Engage in continuous improvement of business processes and communicate needs to maintenance management.
• Interact with other departments to ensure proper functioning of all systems in the plant.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
• Manage mechanic scheduling (including overtime), timecard review, and issue resolution.

Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire's experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Your responsibilities:

The 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the workflow of the Harvey maintenance team. Specific responsibilities include:

• Keep the plant and equipment operating in a state that delivers the planned production capacity while delivering the required product quality.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities are safely and appropriately carried out.
• Provide communication, coordination, and cooperation with operations and other departments to achieve plant daily targets, monthly KPI's, and business objectives.
• Oversee Work Management processes Manager-Plus (especially work identification, execution, and completion) and Materials Management processes (especially stores issue, receipt, cycle count, organization).
• Monitor work progress against the plan and schedule and make adjustments as needed. Assure department up, data entry, documentation, and follow-up work orders are created as needed.
• Provide leadership by effectively guiding the maintenance team to do the right work in the right way.
• Actively engage in continuous improvement of business processes communicate what is needed with maintenance manager.
• Effectively interact with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the plant.
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures, including periodic review and update of maintenance related procedures.
• Provide mechanic scheduling (including overtime), timecard review, and issue resolution.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• 3 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting
• 3 years of experience with mechanical process equipment, PLC, electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Experience reading drawings and schematics.
• Creativity and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate team members.
• Experience with CMMS system.
