Job Overview
Directs maintenance crews in installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. Oversees maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure maximum efficiency of production lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics & Electricians in predictive & preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Develop and supervise maintenance systems, processes, and documentation for high-performing manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with Production to schedule and execute repairs efficiently.
- Develop KPIs to track maintenance performance, including equipment reliability and effectiveness.
- Support troubleshooting and problem resolution for operational issues.
- Train staff on work methods and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
- Report regularly on maintenance status and performance metrics.
- Review and prioritize job packages, assign work orders, and ensure proper resource allocation.
- Monitor job progress and quality, interfacing with production as needed.
- Supervise emergency and planned maintenance work, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in training, coaching, or managing projects or processes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
- Technical expertise in ammonia refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of PSM and RMP regulations.
- Familiarity with maintenance systems, work order processes, and scheduling software.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; bilingual skills are a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise and evaluate maintenance staff, including hiring and disciplinary actions.
- Provide leadership and guidance within the Maintenance Department.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and weather conditions.
- Physical risks from working around equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to sit, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform dexterous tasks daily.
Additional Information
Salary range: $70,127 - $124,487. Compensation may vary based on experience and location. Benefits include health insurance, 401K matching, paid time off, and more.
