The New York State Office of Mental Health is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor 1 to oversee skilled trades staff and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance activities at assigned facilities.

The role requires supervision experience in multiple trades and the ability to act as a hands-on working supervisor, ensuring timely, safe maintenance work across buildings and systems.

Qualifications

• Requires one year of experience as a skilled tradesperson in mechanical, electrical, building or related trades after completing an apprenticeship or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of skilled trades employees and other workers in mechanical, electrical and building maintenance.
• Work as a working supervisor within the assigned area and perform tasks in a variety of trades.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have one year of experience as a skilled tradesperson with appropriate experience which will vary based on the assigned responsibilities in the mechanical, electrical, building or other trades subsequent to the completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
