Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing facility in New York. The role offers a stable, long-tenure environment with pay between $85,000 and $90,000 per year and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

You will troubleshoot and maintain injection molding machines, conveyors, chillers, grinders and other equipment, perform light electrical and plumbing tasks, read blueprints, and rebuild worn parts. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of maintenance experience required.
• Experienced level required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain injection molding machines, conveyors, water chillers, grinders, and assembly gear.
• Keep air compressors, motors, gearboxes, and exhaust fans running smoothly.
• Perform light electrical and basic facility plumbing maintenance (HVAC or large jobs outsourced).
• Troubleshoot complex electrical faults, hydraulic leaks, and pneumatic failures on heavy machinery to minimize downtime.
• Read mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and fluid power diagrams to diagnose issues.
• Rebuild or replace worn parts such as pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and gearboxes.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

• The Big Stuff: Troubleshooting and maintaining injection molding machines, conveyors, auxiliary equipment, water chillers, grinders, and assembly gear.
• The Essentials: Keeping air compressors, motors, gearboxes, and exhaust fans running smoothly.
• Facility Upkeep: Handling light electrical and basic facility plumbing (toilets, faucets). Note: For the highly complex HVAC or massive jobs, we call in the contractors—you aren't doing it alone.
• Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex electrical faults, hydraulic leaks, and pneumatic failures on heavy machinery to minimize production downtime.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and fluid power diagrams to efficiently diagnose system issues.
• Component Rebuilding: Rebuild or replace worn parts like pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and gearboxes.
