Role Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA, responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of a residential property. This role coordinates, assigns, and monitors maintenance and repair work for building systems, equipment, and common areas, ensuring timely completion and quality standards. The Maintenance Supervisor performs and oversees equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions. The position includes supervising maintenance team members, managing work orders, maintaining inventory of supplies and tools, and ensuring safety protocols and regulatory requirements are followed. The Maintenance Supervisor also collaborates with property management to support resident satisfaction through responsive service and well-maintained facilities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance oversight.
• Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills for building systems, tools, and machinery.
• Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience in residential or multifamily property maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and compliance requirements is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or licenses (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Capacity to work on-site, respond to emergencies, and manage physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and operating tools and equipment.
