Job Summary
XPEL, Inc. (NASDAQ: XPEL) is a leading supplier of automotive paint protection films, window films, ceramic coatings, and commercial/residential flat glass film. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in our San Antonio, TX location.
Core Duties
- Supervise and manage the maintenance department staff to support production on a 24‑hour per day campus‑style facility.
- Maintain an ongoing system of tracking work orders.
- Support all aspects of the company’s equipment and facility needs.
- Requisition and control (keep updated inventory) of materials and parts needed to make repairs.
- Project engineer to design, install and start‑up new equipment.
- Initiate and maintain project schedules and milestones.
- Work with machine operators, production employees, and plant staff on all aspects of equipment and facility maintenance.
- Manage a documented preventative maintenance program compliant with IATF 16949.
- Implement a cost capture system for maintenance by designated cost centers.
- Work safely, both individually and with others.
- Develop and maintain a machine downtime work list.
- Arrange for and manage appropriate third‑party contractor support as needed.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures and actively contribute to maintaining and improving the company’s business management system.
- Ensure processes remain current and effective while working with accuracy, speed, and urgency to deliver results that support company objectives and customer expectations.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering and five years of related work experience.
- Maintain production equipment at a high level of reliability.
- Perform all activities in compliance with company safety policies and practices.
- Maintain work areas in a neat, organized, and uncluttered state.
- Complete all work including cleaning up the work area afterwards.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of equipment and machinery with guidance from the original equipment manufacturers.
- Identify required repair parts and place orders for non‑stock items.
- Control costs of maintaining the equipment and campus.
- Excellent organizational and record‑keeping skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organize neat and clean work habits.
- Maintain a record of punctuality and good attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tape, film, or other converting industry experience.
- Knowledge of converting, coating, and laminating processes.
- Computer literacy and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
