Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to support a 270,000+ sq ft distribution center operating 24/7 in Sacramento. You will supervise maintenance personnel, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure reliability, safety, and performance of automation systems and material handling equipment.

The role also covers managing vendor relationships, facility projects, inspections, and compliance with OSHA, FDA, DOT, DEA, and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in maintenance, facilities, automation, or industrial ops with leadership
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems
• Experience supporting conveyors, sortation, WCS, or material handling equipment
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and automation schematics
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and facility infra systems
• Experience leading maintenance staff, contractors, or tech teams
• Experience using CMMS and MS Office
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced distribution/manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations for a highly automated distribution center.
• Lead maintenance for conveyors, sortation, WCS, PLC-controlled equipment, and material handling systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and performance.
• Manage maintenance technicians and janitorial staff including training and coaching.
• Oversee facility audits, records, compliance docs, and asset tracking.
• Support OSHA, FDA, DOT, DEA, fire protection, and security requirements.
• Manage facility security systems: access, video, intrusion detection.
• Oversee vendors, contractors, and service agreements.
• Lead facility improvement projects and capital upgrades.
• Manage facility cleanliness and maintenance both internal and external.
• Administer MRO inventory and spare parts programs.
• Support safety programs for forklifts, lifts, scrubbers, etc.
• Partner with site leadership for safe, compliant operations.

McKesson is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to support the operation of a highly automated, 270,000+ square foot pharmaceutical distribution center operating 24/7. This position leads maintenance and facilities operations, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of automation systems, material handling equipment, building infrastructure, and facility services.

The successful candidate will supervise maintenance personnel, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities, manage vendor relationships, oversee facility projects, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements.

Shift Schedule: Sunday - Thursday / 4 pm to completion

What You'll Do

• Supervise daily maintenance operations supporting a highly automated pharmaceutical distribution center.
• Lead maintenance activities for conveyors, sortation systems, warehouse control systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and material handling systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and operational performance.
• Manage maintenance technicians and janitorial staff, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee facility audits, maintenance records, compliance documentation, and asset tracking.
• Support compliance with OSHA, FDA, DOT, DEA, fire protection, and security requirements.
• Manage facility security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
• Oversee vendor relationships, contractor performance, service agreements, and facility support contracts.
• Lead facility improvement projects, capital upgrades, equipment installations, and repair initiatives.
• Manage facility cleanliness and maintenance, both internally and externally.
• Administer MRO inventory, spare parts programs, and maintenance budgets.
• Support maintenance and safety programs for forklifts, lifts, scrubbers, sweepers, and other powered industrial equipment.
• Partner with site leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Basic Requirements

• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of maintenance, facilities, automation, or industrial operations experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities. turn2search27
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
• Experiece supporting conveyors, sortation equipment, warehouse control systems, or material handling equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and automation schematics.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and facility infrastructure systems.
• Experience leading maintenance employees, contractors, or technical teams.
• Experience using CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.
