Job summary

Harsco Environmental is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams in repairing and maintaining mobile and fixed equipment at our Pueblo, CO site. The role requires ensuring safe, technically sound maintenance while meeting mill schedules and budget constraints.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of supervisory experience in heavy equipment environments and strong mechanical knowledge of loaders, cranes, locomotives, and processing plants.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in heavy mobile equipment, processing plants, locomotives or cranes.
• Experience supervising in fast-paced, customer-facing service environments is preferred.
• Sound mechanical knowledge of large equipment including loaders, scrapers, diesel locomotives and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance employees in repair and preventive maintenance of mobile and fixed equipment.
• Ensure safety, quality and productivity in all maintenance tasks.
• Lead internal team and external vendors to complete work on schedule and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance for corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Coordinate tools and resources for maintenance staff and subcontractors.
• Oversee short- and long-term maintenance planning and major repair scopes.
• Assist in diagnosis, troubleshooting and training of maintenance crew.

Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and directing the activities of maintenance employees in the repair and preventive maintenance of all mobile and fixed equipment.

• Ensuring that all maintenance is performed in a safe and technically correct manner.
• Maintaining a mixed fleet of equipment capable to serve the customers changing needs
• Provide leadership and direction to the internal maintenance team, external vendors and suppliers to ensures that work is completed efficiently and inline with the Mills schedules.
• Providing technical guidance for both corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
• Ensure the correct tools and resources are available for the Maiantence team.
• Management of short and long term maintenance planning, and completion of planned activities efficiently within budget.
• Significant technical input and creation of scope of work for major repairs.
• Assisting maintenance workers and sub-contractors in performing diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Provide guidance and training to members of the maintenance crew

• Participate in safety, quality and environmental programs by conducting observations, audits and meetings.
• Carry out duties with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience of Heavy Mobile Equipment, Static Processing Plant, Locomotive and/or Gantry Cranes and/or
• 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience in a fast-paced customer oriented service support environment and/or
• 3 years plus Maintenance supervisory experience in a Steel Mill, quarry, mining, rolling stock, major construction or material processing environment and/or
• Sound mechanical knowledge of the following types of equipment Medium and Large Wheel Loaders, Scraper Tractors, Diesel Locomotive, Gantry Crane, Material Processing plants would be beneficial
