As the original designers of the first standard automatic coupler, continued innovation and craftsmanship have led to a product line that includes every ARR approved coupler as well as custom coupler solutions, which are all proudly cast in the US.
We are actively seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership of your team of 6-10 maintenance staff, to ensure we are keeping the plant running effectively and efficiently. Your team will be responsible for minimizing production downtime, and fixing facility issues.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Shift: 2 nd Shift; 5pm-5am, Must be able to work additional shifts/schedules as needed
What You’ll Do
- Maintaining the safe operation of all equipment and building infrastructure
- Ensuring equipment is maintained to comply with all environmental and health and safety requirements
- Ensure regulatory compliance with NFPA-70E (Arc Flash) for all maintenance activities for your crew
- Assist in the hiring of maintenance personnel
- Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions
- Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness and accompanying 6S levels
- Track, analyze and improve key maintenance performances indices including asset utilization, up time, PM compliance, etc.
- Prepare reports, analyze data and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems
- Communicate regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication for maintenance issues
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with all departments and management ensuring an ongoing connection with production teams; coordinate directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in production areas
What You’ll Need
- At least 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma is required
- Bachelors or Associates degree is preferred
- Some leadership experience required
- Must have the ability to function and communicate in a team setting
- Must be punctual, predictable, and have regular attendance
- Must be able to stand for long durations
- Must be tolerant to extreme temperatures
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a good attitude and be adaptable to changes
Working Conditions
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
Safety Activities
- Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
- Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
