Job summary

Carlisle Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Phoenix, AZ plant. You will directly supervise maintenance personnel, coordinate department activities, and ensure safety compliance including lockout/tagout procedures.

You will also collaborate with Carlisle Engineering on equipment upgrades and new installations while documenting incidents and actions. The role requires experience in electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems, plus PLC knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler preferred.
• Mechanical background with rotating equipment and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• PLC knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate activities in the maintenance department.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings.
• Delegate work orders to maintenance personnel and productions staff.
• Enforce plant safety rules and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering on equipment upgrades and new installations.
• Document incidents, disciplinary actions, and injury reports.

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at our Phoenix, AZ plant.

Job Summary

Travel for training or other plant observations when necessary.

• Direct Supervision of Maintenance Personnel.
• Direct and coordinate activities associated with maintenance department.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings.
• Delegate work orders to Maintenance Personnel and Production Co-Workers as needed.
• Supervisor plant safety rules and regulations- especially lockout/tagout
• Work with Carlisle Engineering to troubleshoot issues, equipment upgrades and new installations.
• Documentation of incident, disciplinary action, accident injury reports and other related employee issues when needed.
• Participate in COS activities which include, SQDC board walks, 5S, and Kaizen events.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Previous experience in the following maintenance areas: General Building Electrical, Industrial PLC Electrical Training, Plumbing, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Boilers.
• Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures and calipers.
• Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Ladder Logic, etc.).
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience reading blueprints, equipment manuals and schematics, and preventive maintenance and work order schedules.
• Understanding of basic math and writing skills.
• Have boiler operator certification or ability to obtain boiler certification.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes including NEMA, etc. (NFPA 70E, Arc Flash)
• Industrial electrical AC/DC troubleshooting skills, including ability to utilize electrical instrumentation (megohmmeter).
• Complete knowledge of all plant equipment (level III).
• Ability to use hand& portable tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP).
• Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.

Education and Experience:

• Required:
• Three to five (3-5) years related maintenance experience.
• Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler.
• Mechanical background with rotating equipment. Hydraulic and pneumatic. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• PLC Knowledge.

Working Conditions:

• Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.
• Confined workspaces.
