Job summary

Philip Morris International (PMI) is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for Owensboro, KY. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating with the planner, ensuring timely work, and promoting safe practices to minimize downtime while meeting quality standards.

Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of maintenance experience, supervisory experience preferred; engineering coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support maintenance personnel, including performance, attendance, training, and ongoing skill development.
• Partner with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to prioritize work, optimize craft utilization, and ensure equipment availability.
• Assign, monitor, and inspect scheduled maintenance work to ensure timely, high-quality completion.
• Communicate maintenance priorities, equipment status, and job progress across shifts and with department leadership and the Plant Maintenance Manager.
• Develop solutions and contingency plans to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Apply the Union Labor Agreement in daily supervisory activities and serve as Step 1 in the grievance process.
• Manage personnel and maintenance activities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and labor requirements.
• Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment to resolve personnel, safety, and equipment-related issues.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices across all maintenance activities.

Your day to day

Who we’re looking for

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; engineering coursework or related technical education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

• Working knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, including mechanical repair, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively direct and support maintenance teams.
• Basic understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance processes, and plant systems, with the ability to quickly learn site-specific equipment.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Annual Base Salary Range: $88,000 - $110,000
