Mayroad is seeking a Residential Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential properties and related Mayroad assets on Air Force installations. Core duties include overseeing carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, and related tasks to preserve property condition and appearance.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.
• Experience in residential maintenance across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and HVAC.
• Previous supervisory experience in residential, multi-family property maintenance.
• Ability to pass state/federal background checks for Air Force access.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and personal vehicle.

Supervises a team of residential maintenance technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the physical condition and appearance of residential properties and other Mayroad assets (pool, community center, playgrounds, ice rinks, dog parks, community garden, etc.), including, but not limited to structural, paint, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC, Steam, pressure washing, cleaning, electrical, etc., depending on assigned core duties.

Job Summary

The residential Maintenance Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains the physical condition and appearance of residential properties and other Mayroad assets (pool, community center, playgrounds, ice rinks, dog parks, community garden, etc.), including, but not limited to structural, paint, plumbing, HVAC, Steam, pressure washing, cleaning, electrical, etc., depending on assigned core duties.

Required Qualifications

• Education Requirement: High school graduate or GED; may be offset by experience
• Experience performing residential maintenance and repair work across multiple skilled trades, including carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and HVAC systems (for positions located in CA, FL, NC, and KS) or steam systems (for positions located in AK).
• Residential home maintenance experience performing carpentry repairs and installations, plumbing troubleshooting and fixture replacement, basic electrical repairs and wiring tasks, and HVAC diagnostics, routine servicing, and preventative maintenance
• Previous supervisory experience in residential, multi-family property maintenance
• Ability to pass a state and federal background check to obtain access to the Air Force installation
• Ability to pass a 12-panel pre-employment drug test.
• Valid, unrestricted REAL-ID compliant driver's license required to drive on the Air Force Installation.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, and communicate work-related information and documentation in English, both verbally and in writing, as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position
• Experience performing residential maintenance and repair work across multiple skilled trades, including carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and HVAC systems (for positions located in CA, FL, NC, and KS) or steam systems (for positions located in AK).
• Must have personal vehicle for on-the-job transportation.
• Must have personal smart phone for on-the-job communication.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works performing repairs/construction in a residential environment. The position requires regular use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Involves working in a non-climate-regulated environment. May involve exposure to extreme heat/cold, temperature changes, exposure to noise (85+ decibels), exposure to hazardous materials, use of power tools, atmospheric conditions, water, industrial hazards, electric shock, ice and slipping hazards, heights, and falling hazards, and other hazardous working conditions. Requires limited daily time in an office environment.

Physical Demands

The heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds is expected. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force is required. The employee is frequently required to walk, climb, lift, carry, balance, reach, grasp, handle, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
