Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs, including testing and adjusting systems such as steering, electrical, cooling, brakes, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, clutches, transmissions, and engine components, in accordance with all relevant regulations.
• Oversee the implementation of NELLC maintenance and safety procedures, ensuring compliance by local staff and adherence to applicable legislation.
• Manage the use of NELLC's EAM ERP system for recording and tracking maintenance work orders and parts inventory.
• Supervise parts inventory management and participate in preventive and unscheduled repairs.
• Coordinate with other local operations functions such as driver care, route operations, and customer care.
• Supervise maintenance staff at the facility.
• Uphold high ethical standards and integrity, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of fleet supervisor experience in a Diesel Shop with heavy/medium-duty fleets.
• Minimum of 5 years of auto/truck or bus mechanical repair experience.
• Experience with DOT compliance for medium/heavy trucks.
• Prefer ASE Master Automotive or Truck Technician Certification.
• Proficiency in computer use and diagnostics.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance.
• Supervisory experience in purchasing and budget management.
• Willing to work flexible schedules.
• ASE certification is desirable but not required.
