Job summary

MAC Incorporated in Avon, MA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM). You will lead the maintenance team, supervise preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment reliability in a recycling plant environment.

The ideal candidate has strong hydraulics experience, familiarity with 480V systems, welding, and CMMS, plus a minimum Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited).
• 4 years of relevant work experience in industrial maintenance.
• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent.
• Industrial/plant maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate the Maintenance Department efforts to keep equipment and facilities in good condition.
• Manage the preventive maintenance program and repair activities to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain an organization capable of safe, efficient maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
• Oversee spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies to ensure availability.
• Collaborate with project engineers on equipment modifications and improvements.

Job Description: Plant Maintenance Supervisor

I. Job Summary

Plans, directs and controls the efforts of the Maintenance Department to maintain recycling plant equipment and facilities commensurate with good engineering practices.

Hours: 3rd Shift - 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM Sunday through Friday

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure quality preventative maintenance and repairs on state of the equipment.
• Manages the preventive maintenance program and maintenance of recycling equipment and facilities.
• Develops, maintains and administers an organization qualified to maintain all equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient working condition. Executes an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time.
• Maintains all operating equipment in satisfactory condition. Schedules needed repair to have minimum interference.
• Consults with other departments regarding desirable modifications of existing equipment and facilities and the possible replacement of existing equipment which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
• May coordinates the efficient operation of facilities with project engineers.
• Coordinates and oversees the efficient maintenance of all plant transportation equipment.
• Analyzes cost studies equipment in the department designed to secure reduced operating costs. Makes recommendations thereon to the Plant Manager.
• Develops objectives and standards of performance for projects within the Maintenance Department required to meet departmental, divisional and corporate goals and objectives.
• Plans and provides for an adequate supply and ensures control over spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Provides leadership and maintenance training to Maintenance Technicians
• Ensures Preventative inspections and Corrective repairs meet or exceed the company standards

• 4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement)
• B. Preferred Qualifications:
• Industrial/plant maintenance experience
